This is the point where I look like I’ve never seen trees or mountains before by the way I was staring out all of the windows of the car. I took over 60+ pictures during the drive. With our side stop in Marble, CO, it was a little over 3.5 hours drive. Kebler Pass is a shortcut that opens during the summer and is a 30 MPH gravel road that took us about two 1.75 hours. More on that below.

First stop-Marble, CO is down a side road and a little out of the way, so just keep that in mind if you decide to go here.

The BBQ is great. We actually ordered some to go so we could eat it at our condo. The drive is gorgeous and has a few stopping points that are photo worthy. It has a small town feel and very relaxed atmosphere which I prefer.

We actually drove past this waterfall and my son was the only one who noticed it. He was like, in did anyone see that??” We turned around and went to a side road as close as we could get to a viewing point without trespassing! The picture is pretty boring as far as a waterfall picture goes, but in person it was pretty exciting to see And definitely worth a quick stop.

we pulled over at a small shoulder area and walked down to see the water. It was a beautiful blue. Again this pic

Below is a clip of the water. The sound you hear is not live animals but my crazy family making dinosaur noises. I was recording the wrong way so sorry it is so small, but it makes me happy so I am posting it anyway.

Next up Kebler Pass. A few notes about this pass. It is beautiful, lined with Aspens, pastures covered in wildflowers, streams and mountain views. It is also, a narrow mostly gravel 30 mph road that for someone with car sickness may be a long hard road. If you have someone like that with you, they should consider dramamine or whatever keeps them calm. I loved this drive. It was one of those things you want to bottle up and remember for ever. Or take a zillion pictures, videos, and timelapse then put in on a blog so you will remember the moment. Whatever works for you.
